Check in for your flight

If you have hand baggage only and you already have your boarding pass, you can head straight to your departure gate via security and immigration. If you need to check in at the airport, check-in desks open 3 hours before departure.

Remember, you must have checked in at least 60 minutes before take-off. If you arrive at check-in any later than this, you won't be able to travel.

You can check in your baggage at the flydubai check-in desk up to 3 hours before take-off, but no later than 60 minutes before take-off.

Economy class

If you're travelling in Economy Class and you've already bought a 20 kg, 30 kg or 40 kg baggage allowance in advance, you just have to put your bags on the scales and pick up your boarding pass.

If you haven't bought your baggage allowance in advance, you can pay to check in your baggage at the airport rate, provided there's enough space on the flight.

You can pre-buy a baggage allowance at a discount up to 4 hours before your flight using change your booking, through our Customer Centre or through one of our travel shops.

Business class

If you're travelling in business class, you can check in up to 40 kg of baggage. You may also be able to purchase additional baggage allowance provided there's enough space on the flight. To save time and money call the Business Team before you travel.

• Your booking confirmation 
• A valid passport
• A valid visa (if you need one for the country you're travelling to)
• Any necessary health certificates (for example, if you’re over 27 weeks pregnant)

If someone else has booked your flight for you using their credit/debit card, you’ll need to show us a photocopy of their passport and either a photocopy of the front of the credit/debit card they used to make the booking or the credit/debit card itself.

It's your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct documentation for your acceptance in the country of your final destination and any transit points in between. If you're not holding the correct documents, flydubai will not permit you to travel and no refund or alternative travel will be offered. If you're not sure what travel documents you need, you can find out by contacting the embassy or consulate of the country you're flying to.

The security process at the airport may take longer during busier periods. Ensure you allow enough time to get through the security check and arrive at the gate on time. 

You need to go through security at least 60 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart or you could miss your flight.

Boarding gates close 20 minutes before flight departure. If you arrive late, you will not be accepted onto the flight and your baggage will be offloaded. 

Make sure you have the correct documents ready to be checked - we will check your boarding pass, passport or ID and visa at the boarding gate.
