Fares and extras

A flydubai fare is always one way and includes all taxes. It also includes a 10 kg hand baggage allowance. You just need to pay for the extras you choose.

Please note that "free to change" fares to and from Erbil, Kabul and Yekaterinburg include the price of a single piece of checked baggage weighing up to 32 kg and measuring no more than 90 cm x 75 cm x 43 cm.

Pay to change fares

A "pay to change" fare gives you the freedom to change or cancel your flight for a charge of AED 100 per person, per flight, up to 24 hours before departure.

If you decide to change your flight between 24 hours and 6 hours before departure, each person will be charged AED 200, per flight. If the new fare is higher than you originally paid, you'll be asked to pay the difference, and if the new fare is lower than you originally paid, then you'll receive a voucher to use against future travel with flydubai.

If you decide to cancel your flight less than 24 hours before departure, the cancellation fee is 100% of the money paid to flydubai.

You must pay for any changes to your existing booking within 24 hours of the changes being made or the booking will be cancelled. Any changes made less than 48 hours before departure must be paid for immediately.

Free to change fares

If you need to be flexible, flydubai offers a "free to change" fare for just a little extra. Opt for this fare and the AED 100 charge will be waived if you decide to change your flight (up to 24 hours before departure).

If you decide to change your flight between 24 hours and 6 hours before departure, each person will be charged AED 200, per flight. Optional extras added to a booking after payment has been made

If you buy an optional extra (e.g. a bag) after you have paid for your reservation, the extra must be paid for within 24 hours or it will be cancelled.  Optional extras purchased less than 24 hours prior to departure must be for paid immediately.

Refunds

flydubai does not offer a cash refund if you decide to cancel your flight.

However, if you decide to cancel your flight up to 24 hours before departure, for a cost of AED 100 per person, per flight, flydubai will issue a voucher. This voucher can be used towards future travel with flydubai.

If you decide to cancel your flight less than 24 hours before departure, no voucher will be issued.

Any optional extras can be transferred to a new booking, or if the booking is cancelled, these can be refunded by voucher less the cancellation fee.

flydubai vouchers

To receive a flydubai voucher, you must have a valid e-mail address to which the voucher can be sent. A personal identification number (PIN) will be sent to you with the voucher. You will need this PIN to use the voucher at a future date. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and cannot be extended or transferred.

To use your flydubai voucher, you must:

• have a valid PIN

• be the named individual on the voucher

• be a named traveller

Vouchers can be redeemed online at flydubai.com, via the call centre or through one of flydubai's travel partners for future travel with flydubai. Vouchers cannot be used on board to purchase items from the duty free magazine or from the flydubai menu.

What happens if things don't go to plan

If your flight is delayed because of flydubai by more than 3 hours, flydubai will offer you a refreshment voucher. This voucher can be exchanged at selected airport food and drink outlets. If the delay continues for more than 3 hours, you'll receive a refreshment voucher every 3 hours. These vouchers can't be used on board the aircraft.

If flydubai cancels or reschedules your flight, whenever possible, flydubai will e-mail, SMS or call you to let you know that your flight has been cancelled or rescheduled. So, make sure you give the correct contact details at the time of booking.

If your flight has been cancelled, flydubai will offer you alternative travel on another flydubai flight to the same destination or a destination in the same country wherever possible. You can also change your return travel date free of charge (subject to availability).

If your flight has been rescheduled, flydubai will contact you with the new timings. You can change your return travel to another date free of charge (subject to availability).

If you want to cancel your flight, you will receive a flydubai voucher for the total amount you paid.

flydubai doesn't over-book its flights. There's only one passenger for every seat. However, if flydubai is responsible for you being denied boarding, you'll be entitled to take the next available flight and you'll receive a complimentary voucher for the value of the original fare excluding all taxes.

If you don't make your flight for any reason, no refund or alternative travel can be offered by flydubai.
