Minimum requirements for captains:
B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) endorsed and current (within the last 24 months)
A minimum of 5,000 hours total flying time
A minimum of 1,000 hours in command of B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) type aircraft
A minimum of 1,500 hours in command of a multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft (jet or turboprop) in excess of 10 tonnes
ICAO ATPL
1st class medical
English language fluency (ICAO level 4 or above)
flydubai is actively seeking captains with training experience (B737NG TRI/TRE/Standards Captain) and with senior airline management experience. And you must be able to qualify for a UAE residency visa.
Minimum requirements for first officers:
B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) endorsed and current (within the last 24 months)
A minimum of 2,500 hours total flying time
A minimum of 500 hours on B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) type aircraft

1st class medical
English language fluency (ICAO level 4 or above)
You must be able to qualify for a UAE residency visa.
All salaries will be tax-free and paid in the local currency (UAE dirham) on a monthly basis.
Remuneration package for captains:

Call-out pay – if you work on a non-rostered day, you will receive an additional AED 350 per day
Flying pay – you will receive an additional AED 150 for every block-flying hour you work
Bond – you will be contractually tied to flydubai with a training bond of USD 24,000 for a period of 36 months
Medical/dental insurance – free private health insurance for you and subsidised cover for your spouse and up to three children
Employee insurance benefits – loss of licence cover up to 24 months of basic salary
Annual leave – 42 calendar days per year
Annual leave ticket – you will receive a confirmed economy-class ticket for you, your spouse and up to 3 children to your annual leave destination (which will be confirmed during the selection process)
End of service benefit – as per UAE labour law:
for 1 to 5 years of service, you will receive 21 days of your basic salary for each completed year of employment
for more than 5 years of service, you will receive 30 days of your basic salary for each completed year of employment
Children's educational support – applicable for a maximum of three
children aged between 4 and 18 years in full-time education:
for primary schooling, you will receive a reimbursement up to the value of AED 30,000 per annum
for secondary schooling, you will receive a reimbursement up to the value of AED 45,000 per annum for children studying in the UAE

Selection process
Applications will be reviewed and candidates selected for interview based on their experience and suitability. If you are not contacted within 8 weeks of submitting your application, you should assume that your application has been unsuccessful.
As the selection process takes place in Dubai, flydubai will provide candidates with a return ticket from an Emirates Airline network destination to Dubai. Other travel costs will be at the candidate's expense. flydubai will also provide hotel accommodation in Dubai for candidates during the selection process.
The selection process takes place over two days:
Day 1 – consists of a welcome briefing, an occupational aptitude/cognitive assessment and a simulator assessment
At the end of the first day, candidates will be notified if they have been successful in the first stage of the assessment and will continue onto the second stage of the assessment on day 2.
Day 2 – involves a human resources briefing, a psychometric evaluation, a panel interview and a medical check.
A complete itinerary will be provided to candidates on arrival in Dubai.
A decision about the suitability of candidates will be made 4 to 6 weeks after the selection process and offers will be made subject to references being provided and other pre-joining requirements being met.
