Travel restrictions to South Sudan

Who can travel?

  • Open to citizens and residentsof the United Arab Emirates
  • Open to citizens and residents of South Sudan
  • Open to all visitors subject to meeting the entry requirements

What do you need to travel?

All passengers travelling to South Sudan must have: 

  • a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival. The test result must be in English; OR
  • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), CanSinoBIO (Convidecia), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.

Visa on arrival is currently suspended for passengers with a normal passport. This does not apply to citizens of Burundi and Rwanda and foreign citizens of South Sudanese origin.
