Sporting equipment

Acceptance of any equipment is subject to available space on the flight, so please make a booking for your equipment at least 24 hours prior to departure by calling our Customer Centre on (+971) 600 54 44 45.

Acceptance conditions

• All sports equipment will be accepted as part of your checked baggage allowance, subject to flydubai’s checked baggage rules. If your overall baggage weight, including the sporting equipment, exceeds the permitted allowance, excess baggage rates will apply.
• A handling fee based on the sports equipment dimensions and your itinerary needs to be paid at the airport check-in counter.
• All handling fees are applicable only on flydubai-operated flights and may be subject to an additional service charge.
• Passengers with onward connections on any other airlines need to confirm the acceptance of sporting equipment with each airline individually and provide confirmation to flydubai.
• Local airport restrictions may apply at some airports where permitted dimensions are further reduced. It’s passenger's responsibility to check this information with respective airport authorities before departure.

Packaging guidelines

• All sporting equipment must be packed appropriately to avoid damage and must meet the dimension and weight restrictions of their allowance. Please read and follow our packaging guide.
• Please ensure that only the sporting equipment and no other items such as batteries, chemicals, or dangerous goods are packed in the sports equipment bag.

We will ensure your equipment is safe and handled with care, but flydubai will follow a limited release and liability process for all sports equipment.
