  • Explore the Piazza dei Miracoli, also known as the Square of Miracles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Pisa's famous landmarks, such as the Leaning Tower, the Duomo di Pisa, and the Baptistery of St. John.
  • Tour the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, where you'll find a collection of religious art and artefacts from Pisa's cathedral and other churches.
  • Check out the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Spina Church, built in Gothic architecture between 1223-1230, and see its main attraction, the Madonna of the Rose by Andrea and Nino Pisano, inside.
  • Take a leisurely walk along River Arno, flowing through the heart of Pisa, and admire the city's architecture, including the Ponte di Mezzo bridge and the colourful houses lining the riverbank.

The best way to explore the city is on foot or by bike. Pisa also has a network of buses that can take travellers just about everywhere. Additionally, travellers can hail a taxi or rent a private car to explore the region.
