Restriction on carriage of pagers and walkie-talkies

Until further notice, passengers travelling from or transiting through Dubai are not allowed to carry pagers and walkie-talkies in hand baggage, checked baggage, or cargo.

Change in boarding cut-off time at Muscat International Airport

As requested by the local authorities, passengers travelling from Muscat are required to arrive at the boarding gate no later than 40 minutes before their flight departure time to complete the pre-boarding procedure.

Acceptance of children under 17 years to the UAE

Until further notice, children aged 17 and under are not permitted to travel on a tourist or visitor visa unless accompanied by a parent or authorized guardian. This restriction does not apply to visa-exempt or visa-on-arrival nationals.

Terminal change at Almaty International Airport

Effective from 12 June 2024 flydubai flights to and from Almaty will operate to Terminal 2 of Almaty International Airport instead of Terminal 1.

Terminal change at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow

Effective from 08 June 2024 flydubai flights to and from Lucknow will operate from Terminal 3 of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport instead of Terminal 1.

The flydubai Boarding Gate in Terminal 2, DXB is temporarily closed

During this time passengers travelling in Business Class can board their flight from Gate F12 in Terminal 2, DXB. Please note that the flydubai Business Lounge in Terminal 2 will continue to be available.

flydubai’s MAX 9 aircraft are not affected by the directive by the FAA

Following The Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on 06 January 2024, flydubai can confirm that the three Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft in its fleet are not affected. Read more

flydubai operates Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft with a deactivated mid-aft exit door configuration which is not referenced in the directive.
