You can get around Yerevan by public transportation or taxi. Yerevan's public transport system includes the metro, buses, trolleybuses and trams. You can also make use of the extensive network of "marshrutkas" or minibuses. Public transportation in Yerevan is reliable and generally inexpensive, covering major parts of the city with services running frequently. For a private, less crowded option, you can catch a metred taxi. These are reasonably priced and widely available.
