Where it all began

When we began operations in 2009, our aim was to take more people to more places, more often. We now fly to more than 125 destinations in 55 countries and we’re constantly adding new cities to our network as we continue to grow. Over 100 million passengers have chosen to flydubai, making us the second largest carrier, by passenger numbers, operating out of Dubai International (DXB).

With the vision and support of the Government of Dubai, we’ve opened up opportunities for travel, tourism and trade and we’ve enhanced connectivity by increasing accessibility to and from Dubai.

Our fleet

We currently operate a single fleet-type of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft which includes 29 Next-Generation Boeing 737-800, 56 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 03 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.

Since 2008 we have placed four aircraft orders with the largest order for a single-aisle aircraft in the region at the 2017 Dubai Airshow and our first wide-body order for 30 Boeing 787-9s at the 2023 edition of the Dubai Airshow.

flydubai Business Class

flydubai Business Class offers a more relaxed and personal flying experience. On the ground, you’ll benefit from faster check-in and priority ground services, including a dedicated check-in desk, boarding gate and bus service. You can also relax before your journey in our Business Lounge at Dubai International Terminal 2 and if your flight departs from Terminal 3, the Emirates Business Class lounge, as well as enjoying access to airport lounges across most of our network.

On board, you’ll enjoy a personal, professional and friendly service from a member of crew dedicated to the Business Class cabin. Choose a delicious meal from an internationally-inspired menu for flights more than 90 minutes. For shorter journeys, lighter cold meals are served.

Boeing 737 MAX

Experience one of two types of seat: a reclining seat or a lie-flat seat. Our newest reclining seat has been designed to increase the seat’s space for the upper body and has a comfortable footwell for when the seat is fully reclined. With our lie-flat seat, you’ll not only enjoy space and privacy, you can also get some serious shut-eye with a seat that can easily be converted into a fully-flat bed.

Next-Generation Boeing 737-800

Our seats in Business Class offer exceptional comfort and luxurious spaciousness. Designed with soft Italian leather, and built-in lumbar support, generous recline and extendable leg-rests, they provide the perfect opportunity to relax.

flydubai Economy Class

In Economy Class, you can expect an affordable and relaxing journey with a variety of food options available on board. If you're travelling on a Value or Flex fare, you can enjoy a complimentary meal on board. If you’re travelling on a Lite fare, you can pre-order a meal before you fly. A varied selection of snacks and beverages are also available for purchase on all our flights.

Next-Generation Boeing 737-800

Our seats are innovatively-designed to optimise legroom and maximise comfort. The increased overhead locker and mood lighting system creates an atmosphere that allows you to sit back, relax and enjoy your flight.

Boeing 737-800 MAX

Our economy class seats are high quality and their ergonomic comfort and innovative design sets them apart. With the seat pocket at the top of the seat, you’ll get more legroom to stretch out and relax.
