You can get around major Saudi Arabian cities by taxi, car hire or bus. Transport by taxi within the cities is generally considered a practical option. Official metred taxis are available. If you take an unmetred taxi, make sure to agree a fare with the driver before you start your journey. You can also hire a car from one of several local and international car hire companies. Please note that women are not allowed to drive on public roads in Saudi Arabia.
