Your journey
You’ll start your trip to the Maldives at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Making your way to the airport is simple. Catch a taxi, hop on a bus or take the Dubai Metro to Abu Hail station, located just 2km from Terminal 2. Alternatively, take your car and make use of the many parking spaces available at DXB.
When you arrive at the airport, head to Terminal 2 where our team will be happy to help with check-in. You can also choose to do it yourself at our handy self-service kiosks, or by checking in online.
Once you’ve dropped off your bags and cleared security, make your way through to DXB’s award-winning departures lounge. Get your retail therapy fix by treating yourself to luxury duty-free shopping, or dine in a huge selection of cafes and eateries. Whatever you feel like doing, make sure you get the most of your time at DXB before it’s time to board.
When you touch down at Velana International Airport (MLE) you’ll find yourself on Hulhule Island near the capital, Male'. From here there are several options to make your way to Male' and the surrounding resorts. Look for a local boat or dhonis, which run every few minutes between the airport and the capital. There are also ferries, seaplanes, and other domestic airlines that can connect you to the surrounding islands.
