Travel Club accounts

9.1 Members may apply for the following Travel Clubs online through our Website:

9.1.1 Family Travel Club; or

9.1.2 Friends Travel Club.

9.2 A Member may establish a Travel Club and will become the Travel Club Head by inviting Members to join the Travel Club. An e-mail invitation will be sent to each Member, who will be required to accept the terms and conditions applicable to the Travel Club and the leadership of the Travel Club Head. The first seven (7) Members to accept the invitation will form the Travel Club.

9.3 Up to seven (7) Members can be linked to a single Travel Club, which will allow all Members in the Travel Club to pool their Reward Points. The total number of Members in a Travel Club, including the Travel Club Head, cannot exceed eight (8) Members.

9.4 Members may only belong to one Travel Club at any point in time.

9.5 For the purposes of membership of a Friends Travel Club, eligible Members do not require any personal or familial ties. Members must all be over the age of 18 years.

9.6 For the purposes of membership of a Family Travel Club, eligible Members must be from the same family or household and must be over 2 years of age. Members under the age of 18 must be represented by their parent or legal guardian.

9.6.1 Members of a Family Travel Club may include:
i) spouses;
ii) parents;
iii) siblings;
iv) children;
v) grandparents;
vi) grandchildren;
vii) in-laws;
viii) step-parents;
ix) step-children;
x) step-siblings and half siblings; and
xi) sponsored household employees (at the discretion of flydubai).

9.6.2 flydubai reserves the right to request any documents it deems necessary in order to establish eligibility for membership of a Family Travel Club.

9.7 Once a Member joins a Travel Club, Reward Points earned by that Member will (for the duration of their membership of the Travel Club) be credited to the Travel Club Head’s Member Account and the Member will not be able to redeem any Reward Points earned. 

9.8 All Reward Points earned by the Member before joining a Travel Club will remain in the Member Account. Members will continue to individually earn Tier Points, which will be credited to the Member Account, and which can be viewed online at our Website. 

9.9 Only the Travel Club Head may redeem 100% of the Reward Points earned by any Member of the Travel Club and credited to the Travel Club Head’s Member Account.

9.10 Only the Travel Club Head may add or remove Members from the Travel Club. Changes can be made on our Website or through the flydubai Customer Centre. Members shall be responsible to maintain and update their mandatory profile details in accordance with clause 3.1.

9.11 The Travel Club Head may only remove up to three (3) Members of the Travel Club in any given twelve (12) month period. Members may only belong to one Travel Club at any given time. Any Member who has been a Travel Club member for six (6) months may join another Travel Club immediately.  Otherwise, that Member must wait six (6) months (including any time spent as part of the Travel Club) before joining a new Travel Club.  By way of an example, if a Member has been a member of a Travel Club for three (3) months at the time of leaving a Travel Club, they must wait a further three (3) months before joining a new Travel Club. Members of a Travel Club can request that the Travel Club Head remove them from the Travel Club at any time.   Members of a Travel Club cannot leave the Travel Club if not removed by the Travel Club Head. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that they have been removed from the Travel Club by the Travel Club Head so that they may start earning Reward Points which will be credited to the Member’s Account.

9.12 When a Member has been removed from the Travel Club by the Travel Club Head, all Reward Points earned by the Member whilst part of the Travel Club will remain in the Travel Club Head’s Member Account and will not be transferred into the Member Account. The Member will start earning Reward Points which will be credited to their Member Account from the date that they have been successfully removed from the Travel Club by the Travel Club Head.

9.13 In the event that the Travel Club Head dies or is no longer a Member of the Programme, or requests to leave the Travel Club or to otherwise relinquish his/her position as Travel Club Head, the Travel Club will dissolve.  Any Member who has been a Travel Club member for six (6) months may join another Travel Club immediately.  Otherwise, that Member must wait six (6) months (including any time spent as part of the Travel Club) before joining a new Travel Club. All Travel Club Reward Points remain in the Travel Club Head’s Member Account and will not be transferred to the respective Members’ Accounts at any time.

9.14 The Travel Club Group Head’s Account will remain active provided there is a Qualifying Activity at least once in every consecutive twenty-four (24) month period. In the event that a Travel Club Head’s Account is terminated for being inactive, all accrued Reward Points will be forfeited.

9.15 flydubai shall have no liability or responsibility for the administration of any Travel Club or Travel Club Head’s Account, including but not limited to any redemption by the Travel Club Head of any Reward Points earned by a Member of that Travel Club.
