Is there food available on board?

Yes. The choice varies according to your destination, from hot meals that you can pre-order on longer flights to a range of snacks available to purchase on board shorter flights.

Can I take a stroller on board?

Yes. Foldable/collapsible pushchairs and strollers meeting the permissible size and weight of hand baggage may be accepted for carriage in the cabin provided space is available. 

Pushchair/stroller should be stowed and secured in the overhead locker. Its stowage must not create an obstruction to cabin crew and passengers movement nor restrict access to safety equipment or emergency exit.

Can I use a leg rest/seat extension or sleeper device on board?

No. Travel accessories that are not certified by the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority are not permitted for use on board our flights. 

Leg rests/seat extensions include, but are not limited to, inflatable cubes, Bedbox, Sky Rest, Plane Pal, Fly Legs-up and FLY-Tot.

Sleepers include, but are not limited to Cocoonababy, Flyebaby, SkyBaby, TravelSnug, MonkeyGo, BedBox, Kooshy Kids and CoziGo.

You can take these items with you on board as part of your hand baggage allowance, only if they are stored in the overhead locker, and are not used during the flight.

Can I carry children's ride-on suitcase on board?

You can take a ride-on suitcase on board as part of your hand baggage allowance, only if it is stored in the overhead locker. It must meet the maximum permitted size and weight of carry-on baggage and must not be used as a leg rest or a seat extension. 

Ride-on suitcases include but are not limited to Trunki, Zinc Flyte, Kiddee Case, FOME and Jetkids.

Can I use a car-type seat for my baby/child?

If you are travelling with an infant or a child aged 7 days to 3 years, you may use certain approved car-type safety seats in conjunction with airplane seat.

Infants under 2 years old do not get their own seat but if you want to use a car-type seat for your baby under 2 years old, you will need to book and pay for a seat next to you on a full child fare.

Your car seat will be checked and approved for use on board at the time of check-in at the airport.

The car-type safety seat must meet the following standards:

  • Should have a solid back and seat and have an integral harness, which must be a minimum of 2.5 cm wide and must include lap, shoulder and crotch straps, to ensure that the child is properly secured. 
  • Must be labelled stating that it has been approved for aviation use and have labelling describing the operating instructions attached to it.
  • The car-type seat, or any part of it, should not show any obvious signs of having sustained damage. 
  • Can be forward or rearward facing provided it can be secured to the aircraft seat in economy or business class cabin with only the fitted aircraft seat lap belt.  
  • Forward-facing car-type safety seats can be used by infants/children from the age of 7 days to 3 years.
  • Rearward-facing car-type seats can be used by infants from the age of 7 days to 6 months (or less than 10 kg).
  • Rearward-facing car-type seats cannot be used on business class seats equipped with airbags.

Does flydubai offer baby bassinets on board?

No, flydubai doesn’t offer baby bassinets on board. The infant must share their parent’s seat throughout the flight. If you wish to use a car-type seat for your baby, you’ll need to buy a seat next to you. For detailed information, please refer to the question ‘Can I use a car-type seat for my baby/child?’

Does flydubai accept child restraint devices on board?

Yes, we accept restraint devices on board provided they comply with our rules and regulations and have been cleared for use on board ahead of the flight. For detailed information, please refer to the Travelling with a restraint device page.

Does flydubai offer a baby meal on board?

No, infant meals are not available on board.

Is there any medical equipment available on board?

On board the aircraft there's a first-aid kit and first-aid oxygen that is used for emergencies only. Additional/therapeutic oxygen is not provided on board flydubai flights, but you can travel with your own portable oxygen concentrator if it is an approved device permitted to use on board.

What should I do if I leave something on the plane?

If you lose something on board, contact the arrival airport's lost & found office.

Can I take liquids in my hand baggage?

Yes. You can take liquids on board as long as they are placed in containers of no more than 100 milliliters (3 fluid ounce) and packed in a clear zipper/slider storage bag. Please check with your departure airport for the latest information.

Can I travel with fireworks, crackers or party poppers?

No. They are not permitted on board or in the baggage hold.

Can I take a powered wheelchair on board or will you carry it in the hold?

Battery-powered or electric wheelchairs are only accepted as checked baggage free of charge provided they are used by passengers with reduced mobility who are travelling on the same flight and the wheelchair has been prepared for transport. Can I take a bird or animal on board?

Generally, we don't allow any animals onboard our flights in hand baggage or checked baggage. We might allow carriage of falcons provided there is a special prior approval. For more details please check our Special baggage page.

Can I smoke on board?

No. All flydubai aircrafts are non-smoking.
